Our History: Made in Vietnam
Glocal Ventures Inc. (GVI) was founded by Bob Roberts Jr., a visionary leader with a passion for global engagement and sustainable development. The organization’s journey began in Keller, Texas, at Northwood Church, where Bob Roberts Jr. was the senior pastor. His deep commitment to international outreach and community development led him to establish GVI as a platform to foster meaningful partnerships across the globe. Vietnam became one of GVI’s first focal points, where the organization aimed to address the nation’s pressing needs through a grassroots approach, emphasizing collaboration with local communities.
Over the years, GVI expanded its efforts in Vietnam by partnering with local businesses, universities, NGOs, and government entities. These collaborations allowed GVI to scale its projects, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare. One of the notable achievements during this period was the establishment of educational programs aimed at improving literacy and providing vocational training. These programs were designed to equip the younger generation with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing economy. In healthcare, GVI contributed to the enhancement of medical services, particularly in rural areas where access to quality care was limited.
Today, GVI’s involvement in Vietnam is marked by a more comprehensive and strategic approach. The organization continues to support education and healthcare initiatives but has also branched out into areas such as economic development and environmental sustainability. GVI’s work in Vietnam is characterized by a deep commitment to long-term impact, focusing on empowering communities to achieve self-sufficiency. The organization’s efforts have not only improved the lives of countless individuals but have also contributed to Vietnam’s broader development goals, making GVI a key player in the nation’s ongoing transformation.
