First GVI business conference a big successJune 10, 2009
GVI-NorthWood first project in the business domain was a resounding success. The team held a business conference with the Hanoi Young Business Association (HYBA) on the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility and visited 16 businesses to build relationships and promote CSR.
Vicky Scott, a member of the team said, "We had the opportunity to show love to many influential people in Vietnam and I believe they were quite touched. Many influential individuals are ready to join us in caring for Vietnam's disadvantaged population."
Another team member, Mike Richards said, "We developed relationships with the HYBA who are hungry for more business interaction, which could lead to further deeper discussions."
The overall trip experience was amazingly wonderful for the team. Each person on the GVI Business Team experienced personal growth and appreciation for GVI-NorthWood's love for the people of Vietnam. They have a real yearning to learn how to help their own people, whether employees or those more economically disadvantaged. The GVI-HYBA connection has a tremendous opportunity to transform lives of business people who in turn can transform their communities. It is both humbling and exciting to see.
