Baylor Nursing Faculty - the 4th time in VietnamJuly 22, 2013
With the love for Vietnam, Baylor Nursing Faculty keeps coming back again and this is the 4th time team came to Vietnam. The team came in May 22nd with 7 members: 2 professors and 5 students. The students are newcomers but they were so excited with the project which the team has been doing in Vietnam since 2010.
On this trip, team spent 3 days at Nam Dinh Nursing University where they shared the new methods about:
- Simulation in Nursing Education Past, Present and Future.
- LHSON Syllabi Objectives for Simulation Lab
With more than 30 teachers and students at Nam Dinh Nursing Faculty joined the conference. They had chance to learn new method to share their ideas and to practice. Students and teachers were very confident to asked questions and to share their thoughts with the team and so the team satisfied them with answers.
After Nam Dinh, team again worked with National Pediatric Hospital in Hanoi about the use of high-fidelity simulators (computerized, fully body mannequins) in nursing education for nurses at the hospital in 2 days. There were 50 nurses and doctors attended the class.
The team also visited Chuong My District Hospital and have a great time sharing with doctors there.
All the partners at Nam Dinh Nursing University, National Pediatric Hospital and Chuong My Hospital were so excited to meet and to work with the team again. They enjoyed any chances they got to spend with the team and already talking about the next times.
Making friends is already difficult but how to keep the friendship growing is more. That is one of the reasons for team to keep coming back to Vietnam. They come not just for sharing their knowledge and experience but also for sharing the Love they have with old friends and new friends they make through the years.
