New School Year Atmosphere at SS3

October 4, 2012

The new school year has started. And as all the other students, SS3's kids were extremely eager for this. They were so excited to prepare stuffs for school.

They recovered the books which were passed over by the older kids from the previous years, they glued holes on their school bags, they checked on their pens and pencils to see if they could still be used... They were happy with what they had.

But before the school opening day, GVI had come to SS3 with a big surprise for them and this made their smiles brighter and happier. GVI came to give them the new school supplies which were generously donated by Area 10 Community.

GVI came with a big surprise.

These school supplies were for fifty-nine kids; providing them with the tools and resources they will need to have a successful new school year. Fifty-four sets for the middle school and high school students were purchased which included a school bag for each child containing five notebooks, a plastic zipper bag to hold writing materials, a pencil sharpener, a pencil, one ball point pen and one ruler box (that held a compass and three rulers). Five sets for the primary school students were purchased which contained five notebooks, a plastic zipper bag to hold writing materials, a pencil sharpener, a pencil, a ball point pen, an inkpot, a fountain-pen, a crayon box and one ruler box (that held a compass and three rulers).

Look at these!!!.

Looking at the pictures, it is hard to decide which was brighter: the colorful book bags or the smiles that were brought to the children's faces. We are reminded all over again how much joy is found in giving.

One, two, three, yeahhhh!!!.

Big thanks to Area 10 Community team for the thoughtful gifts which gave them big smiles and these smiles will shine through their school year.
