Eyecare team with 3 members has directly impacted more than 500 people on their last trip in Vietnam in September 2011.
They ran the second conference of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Vietnamese National Institute of Ophthalmology (VNIO) for 52 doctors.
At Chuong My District Hospital, team instructed doctors on use of the new equipment and saw 4 patients. They were also continuing to co-operate with the hospital on screening students of a local primary school. They screened 531 students, refracted 94 patients and provided glasses to 43 students who needed.
With the thirst of serving other, Dr Michael Hunt – team leader – said: “The trip was a great opportunity to use my vocation to serve where I am with what gifts/skills I have”.
