GVI Contributes to 15 Years of US-VN Relations

July 2010 marked the 15th anniversary of normalized diplomatic relations between the US and Vietnam. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton was in Hanoi to celebrate the occasion.

GVI got in on the celebrations as one of the NGO sponsors of the event. Several pictures of our volunteers and our projects were shown on a Powerpoint loop during the luncheon event. The pictures were a great example of how GVI has contributed to building stronger cross-Pacific ties between the two countries through people-to-people diplomacy - that’s just a fancy way of describing all the trips we send to Vietnam each year (and also the artists and business people we host in the US)! We couldn’t do this without you, our volunteers!
