Award of Recognition from Hanoi U of Ed
Posted on June 27th, 2011.The Hanoi University of Education (Dai Hoc Su Pham Ha Noi) presented Glocal Ventures, Inc. with an award recognizing its “many contributions to the process of creating and developing the Department of Special Education in the years 2001-2011.”
Professor Nguyen Viet Thinh, Dean of the University, presented the award to GVi during the Department’s 10-year Anniversary celebrations. Photos of GVI volunteers and projects figured prominently in the celebrations and slideshows.
The annual HUE-GVI Special Education Training Conference is one of GVI’s longest-running projects with a team of approximately 12 volunteers and presenters each year. With about 250 Vietnamese teachers, parents, caregivers and medical professionals attending each year from all provinces of Vietnam, it is one of the most respected and well-known conferences in the field of Special Education in the country.
