Fun in Bac Ha

We arrived in Bac Ha today (on a Vietnam map go north from Hanoi all the way to Lao Cai at the China border and then head west about 1 hour). It’s a wonderful place up in the mountains.
We got in around 5 AM, freshened up, ate breakfast and then practiced our hygiene training with our translators. (SEE PICS BELOW)
We’re headed down Bao Nhai now to:
* check out the school where we’re teaching
* meet teachers, administrators and district officials
* do preliminary work on water purification systems
Tomorrow the teaching and installation begin. Can’t wait to hang out with the students!
Note to Venture Vietnam Alumni: The Sao Mai Hotel in Bac Ha has finished a new wing that is beautiful. Air conditioning, nice showers, very nice balconies and WIFI! We’re so excited.
